Subhash Kelkar joins Bombay Stock Exchange as CTO
Technology veteran Subhash Kelkar has joined Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) as the chief technology officer (CTO). In his new role at BSE, Kelkar will lead the company’s overall technology and digital strategies.
Established in 1875, BSE is the oldest stock exchange in Asia and the tenth oldest in the world. The BSE is one of the world's largest stock exchanges by market capitalisation
Kelkar comes with close to three decades of technology and services industry experience in various strategic and leadership roles. He has worked in multiple geographies including USA, Europe, Japan and New Zealand and has anchored many digital and technology led transformations.
Kelkar began his career with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in the early ‘1990s, and over the years has worked with both IT and non-IT organisations. He worked at IT services and consulting company Tech Mahindra and Mastech, and cash management and payment solutions firm CMS Info systems.
Kelkar has also worked with financial services group IIFL Holdings and hospitality company Club Mahindra. He was most recently the chief technology and digital officer at ICICI Securities Limited (I-Sec), a subsidiary of ICICI Bank, where he led the company’s IT and digital strategy.
Kelkar studied bachelor's of engineering (B.E) in mechanical engineering from Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai and then completed post-graduation in software engineering from National Centre for Software Technology, Mumbai.
An Oracle certified professional, and recipient of several tech innovation awards, he had also pursued an executive management programme from the Indian School of Business (ISB).
