Pure Storage’s India MD Ajeya Motaganahalli now takes on an expanded role
US-based provider of enterprise data flash storage solutions Pure Storage has promoted Ajeya Motaganahalli to the role of vice president, engineering for its FlashBlade, a data storage platform that is designed to scale the performance of large-scale data applications.
Motaganahalli, who joined the flash storage company in January last year as managing director, research and development (R&D) in India will continue in both the roles from now. In his expanded role, Motaganahalli will be responsible for leading the FlashBlade engineering teams in both Prague and Bangalore, the company said in a statement.
A respected leader in India’s engineering community with domain expertise in enterprise storage, Motaganahalli now brings his talents to the international arena where he will drive Pure Storage’s engineering efforts to meet the needs of customers around the world, it added.

He has over two decades of experience in delivering enterprise solutions for global and high growth markets in areas such as internet of things (IoT), healthcare, global tracking, warehouse automation and wireless technologies.
Motaganahalli started his career as a software engineer at Infosys Technologies. Over the years, he held various technology and business leadership positions in companies such as NTT Data Corporation, EMC India and NetApp India (also leading the NetApp Startup Accelerator) – both in India as well as abroad. Prior to joining Pure Storage in January 2022, he was heading Honeywell Safety and Productivity Solutions (SPS) India, a unit of Honeywell Technology Solutions.
Motaganahalli holds a degree in management from the University of California, Berkeley-Haas School of Business along with an engineering degree from Bangalore University.
