ServiceNow appoints Ex-Google Cloud exec Kamolika Gupta Peres as VP and MD for Indian Sub-Continent
IT software company ServiceNow has appointed Kamolika Gupta Peres, as its vice president and managing director for the Indian Sub-Continent. Peres joins ServiceNow from Google Cloud where she led the enterprise, midmarket and SAARC business in India. In her new role, she will be based out of Mumbai and will lead ServiceNow’s business teams in India.
An alumnus of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta, Peres has had a distinguished career across some of the biggest names in technology including SAP, Ericsson and IBM, including overseas stints in Turkey and Thailand, and most recently in Google.
ServiceNow President APAC Mitch Young, said, “Kamolika joins ServiceNow at a time when India is igniting ServiceNow’s global growth,” said Young, adding that “ServiceNow in India already serves all top 10 technology providers and three of the top five banks”.
Peres, a recipient of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship, the UK government's international scholarships programme, said that ServiceNow has an incredibly strong opportunity in India to be a fundamental driver of the nation’s digital transformation efforts. “India is a top priority for ServiceNow, and I look forward to leading the team through the next phase of growth in the market,” she added.
India also serves as an important technical hub for the $7.5 billion company, with its India Development Centre (the largest outside of the US), led by Sumeet Mathur, vice president and managing director, ServiceNow India Technology & Business Centre. The company has nearly 15% of its total workforce (close to 20,000) working out of its India facilities.
In March last year, ServiceNow launched two local data centre facilities in Mumbai and Bengaluru to help Indian customers embrace innovative digital solutions and meet local data residency preferences. The new data centres are large sites for ServiceNow with full network and capacity, to deliver performance at scale and increased sustainability.
