Mahipal Nair promoted to Trellix India's managing director role

Cybersecurity company Trellix has elevated Mahipal Nair to the role of managing director for its India office. He joined Trellix in 2022 as the vice president and Head of Human Resources for India and Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region. In his new role, Nair will lead the company’s India business operations and head the team that delivers the latest developments in extended detection and response (XDR) technology.

I look forward to working closely with the team to drive innovation and growth in India, while also fostering a culture of excellence,” said Nair.

Nair has 25 years of work experience, with a focus on human resource development. He has worked with companies like Neilsen, Malayala Manorama, Infozech Software, and IIHMR University. Before Trellix, Nair was the chief human resource officer for NeilsenIQ (South Asia, Africa, Middle East region). 

“Mahi brings an interesting mix of people skills with business acumen as well as M&A and crisis management expertise. With cybersecurity becoming centre stage in all discussions, it is imperative for us to be able to nurture the best talent. Trellix has also announced a few more appointments in the last few weeks. Yesterday, Ash Parikh was appointed the chief marketing officer to build the company’s go-to-market strategies. Last month, cybersecurity veteran Joseph Tal was selected for the role of senior vice president of the Trellix Advanced Research Centre and general manager for Trellix Israel; notably, the said research centre was set up in September 2022.

Additionally, in November 2022, Sam Henderson was chosen as Trellix’s managing director of Channels and Alliances for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).
