Google launches generative AI app builder for enterprises
Google has rolled out a cloud-based generative AI App Builder tool to help enterprises build conversational AI ready apps. Introduced as part of Google Cloud’s recently announced generative artificial intelligence offerings, the Generative AI App builder tool is a low code, no-code app builder for building conversational and search capabilities. It is specifically targeted toward developers and companies with limited machine learning skills and resources.
To be sure, Google Cloud announced on March 14 that it is launching a range of products to infuse generative AI into its offers. At that time, Google first spoke about introducing Generative AI App Builder tool. In the same announcement, Google also unveiled Generative AI support in Vertex AI to offer data science teams access to the company’s foundational models.
Google’s Gen App Builder can help build multimodal apps that can interact with text, images, and other media. Tools built by the Gen App Builder will be able to ingest large company-specific information to offer specific and actionable responses.
As per Google, the tool’s application is more relevant and useful for creating digital assistants that serve content, connect to provisioning systems, and escalate customer conversations to human agents when the context demands.
The tool can also be used to build conversational search experiences based on enterprises’ public and private data. Gen App Builder extracts key information from the data and provides personalised results for users. It can also summarise the results and offer corresponding citations in human-like form.
“The ability to intuitively interact with complex data across a variety of sources allows organizations to better serve their customers and deliver more relevant offerings. Combined with conversational and fulfillment abilities, the potential for improving customer engagement and employee productivity is immense,” Google spokespersons said in the blog.
Google started opening access to its generative AI chatbot Bard this month, initially giving access to users in the US and UK. It is widely considered the rival to OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
