Honeywell appoints Ashish Modi as country president for India
Honeywell has appointed Ashish Modi as the country president for India. Along with the new responsibility, Modi will continue to retain his role as the vice president and general manager for Honeywell Building Technology (HBT), India and Asia.
With over 20 years of experience, Modi has earlier worked with McKinsey, OYO, and MTI Microfuelcells. He joined Honeywell in 2019 and has served in various roles including VP and chief operating officer (COO) of Honeywell Connected Plant, VP and general manager (GM) for Advances Solutions business, and GM of Lifecycle Solutions and Services business in India and APAC.

Modi graduated as a mechanical engineer from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. He also obtained a Master of Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

There have been a few high-profile appointments in Honeywell in one year. In February 2022, Honeywell appointed Rajesh Rege as the country president for India Business. He replaced Ashish Gaikwad who earlier served as the interim president for Honeywell India. Additionally, last year in July, Honeywell appointed Vimal Kapur as the president and COO of the company. He was earlier the president and CEO of Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies. In the current role, presidents of all Honeywell Strategic Business Groups report to Kapur.
