What to expect from Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023
South Korean electronics brand Samsung is all set to kick off its Galaxy Unpacked event for 2023 on February 1. After three years of restrictions worldwide due to Covid-19, a live event is happening in San Francisco, United States. The event will be broadcast live on the Samsung website and the official YouTube channel starting at 11:30 p.m. local time in India.
It's still one of the most significant events of the year, despite the many leaks. Let’s check what the event is expected to bring-in this year.
Samsung S23 Series
Samsung's Galaxy S23 lineup will likely be the highlight of the event. We can expect three premium flagship smartphones including the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. As per rumors the first two will have identical designs and specifications, but the third one will look different and have at least one major unique feature.
According to a reliable tipster IceUniverse the S23 Ultra's primary camera would have a high-resolution 200-megapixel main sensor.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra will also feature three additional cameras: a 12-megapixel ultrawide, a 10-megapixel telephoto with a 3x optical zoom, and another 10-megapixel telephoto with a 10x optical zoom, all of which were discovered in a leaked specifications sheet. This is a huge upgrade over the rumoured triple camera setup of the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus, which is said to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor, 12-megapixel ultrawides, and 10-megapixel telephotos.
The 6.1-inch 1080p 120Hz OLED display on the Galaxy S23 will be the smallest of the three phones. The S23 Plus has a little larger screen at 6.6 inches, while the S23 Ultra will feature an even bigger screen at 6.8 inches.
The Galaxy S23 series is anticipated to have the most up-to-date Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU. It is expected that the S23 Ultra would include 12GB of RAM, with lower-end handsets sporting 8GB. If all of the phones come with at least 256GB of storage, you’ll be getting twice as much space for your money as with the S22, which has a starting storage capacity of 128GB.
As reported by MySmartPrice on November 28, 2022, the S23's 3,900 mAh battery is larger than the S22's 3,700 mAh battery, which was disclosed through FCC certifications. The S23 Plus will also have its battery capacity up to 4,700 mAh.
No changes are anticipated to Samsung's three major price ranges from last year's S22 series. The Galaxy S23 Ultra's initial price is predicted to stay at $1199.99.
Galaxy Book 3
This year’s Galaxy smartphone launch will be accompanied by a new line of Galaxy Book laptops. MySmartPrice reported on January 17 that five new Samsung laptops, codenamed Galaxy Book 3, Galaxy Book 3 360, Galaxy Book 3 Pro, Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360, and Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, are expected to be introduced.
As its name suggests, the Book 3 Ultra is expected to be the highest-end model. It will contain a 16-inch 1800p OLED screen, an Intel i9-13900H processor, an Nvidia RTX 4070 discrete graphics processor, 32GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, and support for Samsung's S Pen. Due to the touchscreen's embedded touch sensors, it may be slimmer and lighter than competing models.
The rest of the range will consist of both traditional clamshell laptops and 360 laptops, the latter of which include displays that can be flipped around to be used in tablet mode.
Final Words
Besides the Galaxy S23 smartphones and Galaxy Book 3 models, we don’t expect to see any other new products from Samsung this year. However, according to The Elec on October 6, 2022, a new generation of tablets will be released this year alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 foldables.
That’s all we know about the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 so far. For Samsung fans worldwide, this is going to be a highly anticipated event, with the most anticipated Galaxy devices unveiling.
