StanChart appoints Sarabjit Anand as head of technology, operations
Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Sarabjit Anand as the chief technology and operations officer (CTOO) for India and South Asia. In his previous role, he was the chief information officer at the bank for the Singapore and Asean markets.
He joined Standard Chartered Bank in 1991 in India before moving to Hong Kong. He has been in Singapore since 2015 and was responsible for the bank’s digital transformation efforts in Singapore and Asean clusters. He has held different technology roles and was a key part in launching Trust — a digital bank in Singapore. Trust is backed by a partnership between Standard Chartered and grocery retailer FairPrice Group.
Along with the new CTOO, Standard Chartered Bank also appointed SV Shivshanker as the Head, Human Resources, for India and South Asia. Shivashankar has been with the bank since 1994, holding leadership roles at the country, regional, and global levels. Last, he was the global head of HR operations and global people services at Standard Chartered Global Business Services
