OpenAI, a startup backed by Microsoft, who's futuristic ChatGPT chatbot has gripped Silicon Valley, is responsible for the program's immense popularity, and the company is reportedly expanding access to the platform. The announcement comes amid reports that the company is looking to add to the $1 billion stake in OpenAI already announced in 2019.

According to reports by Reuters, Microsoft might potentially invest $10 billion, although there has been no formal word on this, yet.

Microsoft is opening up access to its ChatGPT service, which is driven by generative artificial intelligence that creates original content based on extensive data science training. In a blog post, Microsoft said that it will soon make ChatGPT accessible through its cloud service.

The company has also claimed that it is screening client apps for malicious intent and that its filters may detect and remove false data entered by humans or generated by technology.

Despite this, venture capitalists have poured a lot of money into firms that are developing such software. This is despite the fact that overall financing for businesses is at an all-time low.
