Yotta's Amit Agrawal joins Web Werks as chief business officer
Mumbai-based data centre company Web Werks Data Centres has appointed Amit Agrawal as Chief Business Officer (CBO). Agarwal has joined Web Werks from Hiranandani Group’s data centre Yotta Data Services (formerly Yotta Infrastructure), where he worked from 2019 till recently and was positioned as a head of sales, channels and business development.
In his new role, Agrawal will work closely with the chief executive officer (CEO) Nikhil Rathi and the leadership team to drive business growth and will be responsible for business strategies, partnerships, marketing, monetisation and expansion of the company.
Agarwal has more than 20 years of experience in sales leadership, where he has helped in generating business growth and revenue, and enabling business transformation by developing go-to-market strategies. Prior to Yotta, he has worked with Cisco Systems, Dell, Xansa, Tatanet, and Reliance Communications (Data Centre) in executive roles.
Founder and CEO of Web Werks Nikhil Rathi said that Agarwal’s “outstanding credentials and extensive data centre experience will provide Web Werks the impetus to scale up operations more quickly and lead our vision of growth across different markets globally”. He further said, “Under Amit’s leadership, we can extend our services to a wider range of customers”.
An MBA in marketing management, Agrawal said, by combining the expertise and innovations of Web Werks and his own experience he will add maximum value to the company including business development, and extending the reach and market engagement. “I am eager to take up this new position and meet the enthusiastic team of Web Werks and work together to establish value for the stakeholders,” he said.
Web Werks has its data centres in Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune and also announced its plans to launch new “energy-efficient” data centres in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai. In January 2023, the company has been listed as one of the best workplaces by the Great Place to Work institute, a global benchmark that certifies organisations based on their work culture and people practices.
