Atul Jasra named new India country head for TPV Technology

The display solutions company, TPV Technology has appointed Atul Jasra as the new country head in India. Taiwanese-based TPV is one of the largest manufacturers of monitors and televisions; it has its own brand Admiral Overseas Corporation (AOC) and is also an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for larger global brands.

Prior to this role, Jasra was the business head at TPV Technology and managed business and sales for smartphones, tablets, and light-emitting diode (LED) televisions, among others, for India and SAARC.

TPV Technology is one of the world’s leading companies in monitor and liquid crystal display (LCD) televisions. It is also a key player in the audio-visual digital entertainment sector, and competes with firms like BenQ, Asustek, and BOE Technology. TPV develops, manufactures, and markets Philips-branded TV sets in regions like India, Russia, China, South America, and others, along with audio products all around the globe. In fact, Philips re-entered the Indian market after a gap of over a year in 2019 via a tie-up with TPV Technology. 

In the new role, Jasra will be developing and executing strategic plans to expand India's customer base, and achieve sales targets. His responsibilities also include working closely with retail partners and distributor management on business development.

Jasra has an experience of over 25 years in the consumer electronics sector. He joined Admiral Overseas Corporation (AOC), a subsidiary of TPV Technology in 2014 and was tasked with establishing the tablet and smartphone business vertical for the company. In the past, he has been associated with HCL Infosystems, INQ Mobile, and Salora International, among others.
