French multinational company Schneider Electric (SE) that specialises in digital automation and energy management has appointed Manish Pant as executive vice-president for its international operations. 

In his new role, Pant will lead the company’s operations in Pacific, India, Middle East Africa, and South America by bringing solutions supporting its customers in their sustainability journey. 

Prior to this appointment, Pant was president of East Asia and Japan Zone from July 2021 to December 2022, where he spearheaded commercial operations across 14 countries including South-East Asia, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and Mongolia, driving business performance and transformation.

With more than 30 years of experience in electrical distribution in various management roles, Pant joined Schneider Electric in 1998, and prior to that he has worked with Larsen & Toubro Ltd India, leading sales and marketing in the organisation and Luminous Power Technologies, a subsidiary of Schneider Electric. 

“In my new role, I look forward to scaling up our capabilities, accelerating research and innovation, and contribute towards building a climate positive world through enhanced collaborations and partnerships,” said Pant who has obtained a MBA degree from the Asian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.  

Pant has also completed a transformational leadership programmes from Harvard Business School and INSEAD (European Institute of Business Administration).
