Accenture opens ATCI in Coimbatore; on a hiring spree in tier II cities
Accenture has opened its newest Advanced Technology Centers in India (ATCI) in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
The company is looking to hire candidates for its new facility and is inviting applications for various roles on its website and said that it is “offering boundaryless career opportunities across deep technology areas and industry domains”.
Earlier this week, Accenture said that it is looking to hire talent in its newly set up ATCI in Jaipur to "expand its global delivery network that drives digital transformation and innovation for clients across a wide range of industries".
“As we continue to further expand our facilities and capabilities in India, we are recruiting people who have deep skills in platforms, cloud, data and AI, metaverse and related areas,” said Mahesh Zurale, senior managing director, lead – Advanced Technology Centers in India, Accenture.
"As part of its global delivery network, the new facility in Coimbatore will also focus on building and delivering transformative technology services for global clients across industries," the company said in a statement.
The consulting major that has primarily operated in India's metros, is now looking at tier II cities of Jaipur and Coimbatore as part of a move to access more talent and give employees greater flexibility with respect to where they want to work from, the statement further read.
“We are committed to expanding our presence to tier-II cities and Coimbatore is a preferred choice as the city is home to some of India’s leading educational institutions and has emerged as a critical talent hub for technology professionals. The expansion will unlock new avenues for local talent and support our people looking for greater location flexibility,” said Zurale.
“Every year Accenture spends nearly $1 billion on learning and development globally and is widely recognised for its long-standing commitment to building a culture of equality. It is also among the first to set a global goal of achieving a gender balanced workforce by 2025. In India, women represent approximately 47% of Accenture’s workforce, and 26% of all leadership roles,” the statement said.
In addition to Jaipur and Coimbatore, Accenture is present in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, National Capital Region (NCR) and Pune.
