Spotify scouts for specialists to power Web3 domains
Spotify, which recently took over podcast tech firms Chartable and Podsights, is now looking to rope in hardcore specialists who will be contributing to upcoming technologies like Web3.
Web3 encompasses multiple technologies that underpin the blockchain, including decentralised apps, NFTs, DAOs, and more. Likewise, NFT is a unique digital certificate registered in a blockchain that can be used to record the ownership of an asset (which could be an artwork or a collectible).
A latest job opening posted by Spotify on jobs.lever.co claims that it is actively looking to rope in for the position of ‘senior manager of innovation and market intelligence’, who has expertise in Web3 technology and will report directly to the company’s Head of Innovation and Market Intelligence — Mauhan Zonoozy. The company said it is looking for an ‘Expert’ who has familiarity with emerging trends, technologies, platforms and ecosystems, especially as it relates to the content, creator, media, Web3, and emerging technology industries, as per the same job posting.
Furthermore, Spotify is also looking for a senior engineer to work that it is hiring a team to integrate various features of Web3 like, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on its platform. As per the job posting by Spotify, the interested applicants will facilitate collaboration with product, insights, and design to uncover the next growth opportunity leveraging new technologies, like Web3. The person will also have to build and run experiments to iterate on new and existing products while delivering many of our user-facing features to over 380 million users, as per the job posting.
Spotify claims that it has over 406 million monthly active users (MAUs), including 180 million premium clients, until December.
