Bharat Petroleum ties up with SAP India to drive digital transformation in customer engagement
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has announced its partnership with SAP India to provide a single view of its products, programmers & offerings to its customers for their personal and business needs.
By leveraging on the SAP Commerce Cloud, the state-owned petroleum firm is looking to create ‘seamless processes’ for customer on-boarding, ordering, payments, fulfilments etc., across omni-channels like mobile apps, websites, etc, it said in a statement.
BPCL claims that the digital transformation exercise will enable it to get a single view of customers across six business lines with the ability to cross-sell, upsell and build customised products and services for customers.
Rahul Tandon, Head Digital Transformation, BPCL, said, “We are aggressively adopting emerging and pioneering technologies that can deliver exception customer convenience and personalisation. We are elated to partner with SAP India in building the core of our customer engagement platform on SAP technologies which will provide customers with a unified view of all of Bharat Petroleum’s products and services across business units.”
Under an ambitious project christened “Project Anubhav”, Bharat Petroleum outlined a vision to create a better customer experience built on foundational pillars of Convenience, Personalisation and Trust, as stated by the company.
“BPCL is powering India’s economy, they carry an innovative and efficient approach towards easing & energising the lives of their customers and welfare of the nation,” said Rajeev Singh, Vice President, Public Sector & Utilities, SAP India Head.
Nearly a month back, Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) also went for a similar digital transformation drive for which it joined hands with SAP India. Under the pact, German tech major will be facilitating M&M to switch to a secure and managed cloud environment, while moving to a ‘microservices’ enabled open stack environment through its business technology platform.
