Ola kicks off deliveries of S1 electric scooter
Ola Electric has begun deliveries of its first 100 units of Ola S1 scooters to customers in Bangalore and Chennai.
The homegrown electric two-wheeler manufacturer was expected to commence its deliveries of Ola S1 and S1 Pro by late November this year, but got delayed due to a semiconductor crisis that affected electronics and auto makers across the globe.
Ola Electric marked commencement of the electric scooter deliveries from the company’s headquarter in Bengaluru, yesterday.
Varun Dubey, Chief Marketing Officer, Ola Electric, said, “We are working hard to ramp up the production at the Ola Futurefactory to get the scooters in the hands of our customers as per their delivery windows.”

Ola Electric’s upcoming Futurefactory in Tamil Nadu will eventually be run entirely by women, the company’s chief executive Bhavish Aggarwal announced on September 13 this year.
