Hyundai to launch six EVs in India by 2028
Hyundai Motor has announced to launch six electric vehicles, including SUVs, in the Indian Market by 2028. Additionally, the Korean carmaker will also introduce its dedicated BEV Platform – E-GMP in India.
S.S. Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said, “We are taking experiences Beyond Mobility and are strongly focusing on Intelligent Technology, Sustainability and Innovation. Keeping in line with this thought, we will introduce our dedicated BEV Platform – E-GMP as well as modified platforms for battery electric vehicles in India. By driving the adoption of electric mobility at scale in the country, Hyundai will become the fulcrum for the transformation of a brighter and better tomorrow.”

Hyundai Motor India will also be working towards the development of BEV infrastructure with strategic collaborations to drive widespread adoption of BEVs. The company will work towards the development of customer-centric BEV charging solutions with a focus on Home Charging, Public Charging station, Charging Facility at HMIL Dealer Network, Peace of Mind with 24X7 roadside assistance, the company said in a statement.
