LTI opens IBM Innovation and experience centre in its Bengaluru campus
Mumbai-based technology consulting company Larsen & Toubro Infotech has opened an IBM innovation & experience centre at its Whitefiled campus in Bengaluru. The centre, it said, will showcase solutions co-created by LTI and IBM, which can assist enterprises in modernising operations and accelerating digital transformations.
In January this year, LTI had announced that it will build an IBM centre of excellence in Bengaluru, this is most probably the proposed CoE, which LTI has rebranded as the Innovation and Experience Centre.
Some of the technologies on display will be IBM Cloud and Cloud Paks. Cloud Paks refers IBMs AI-powered software that helps organisations build, manage applications across any cloud of their choice. IBM said that the centre will also serve as a forum for customers to engage with LTI and IBM technical resources for solution demos, software, tool access and solution workshops.
“This centre will offer combined benefits of LTI’s rich domain proficiency and IBM’s deep technical expertise, and thereby assist clients in their transformation journey,” said Sudhir Chaturvedi, President-Sales and Executive Board Member, LTI.
The centre will see IBM and LTI collaborate and invest in creating joint solutions in the areas of digital transformation, hybrid cloud, AI, and security services. The centre will also help clients who are managing multi-cloud environments.
The features of the centre will include an IBM playground for associates to explore and experiment with prototypes, along with an innovation zone for brainstorming on ideas and a discussion zone with feedback mechanism for continuous improvements.
Evaristus Mainsah, GM, Hybrid Cloud and Edge Ecosystem, IBM, said, “This centre is an outcome of our growing alliance with LTI to help clients predict, automate, secure, and modernise their business operations.”
LTI provides its clients with solutions from IBM’s digital business automation portfolio. In this regard, LTI’s automation consultants help clients in driving productivity improvements with pre-built IBM frameworks that are industry specific.
