Tata Communications launches Unified Communications as a service solution
Tata Communications has launched a unified communications as a service (UCaaS) solution GlobalRapide which helps enterprises to provided intelligent collaboration experiences to employees. The solution will help enterprises identify collaboration platforms, simplify migration, provide better communications management, along with end-to-end visibility, monitoring and reporting for collaboration solutions. The addition will help its suite of cloud-based, secure collaboration solutions with better control of their unified communications infrastructure.
“In a recent survey, 45% of global enterprises acknowledged that right collaborative tools and systems are critical to manage the risk of employee burnout as well as support new ways of working," said Mysore Madhusudhan, Executive Vice President, Collaboration and Connected Solutions, Tata Communications, referring to an August 2021 study by Nasscom.
Owing to the pandemic, the demand for unified communications has increased with businesses investing more into hybrid working models. A July 2021 study by IDC, sponsored by Tata Communications showed that the UCaaS market will grow at a compounded growth rate of 9.3% between 2020 and 2025.
Another study by market research firm Grandview in March this year said that the UCaaS market size is worth $47.64 billion in 2021, and is projected to reach $210.07 billion by 2028.
Market research company TrustRadius in a report in July this year said that the market share of UCaaS solutions is dominated by Zoom, which has a 63% market share, followed by Microsoft teams at 27%. Other players include Amazon Chime, RingCentral and Cisco, to name a few.
