Airtel launches all-in-one enterprise-grade solution for startups
Communications solutions provider Bharti Airtel on Thursday announced the launch of Airtel Office Internet, a unified enterprise-grade solution for digital connectivity needs of small businesses, small office and home office (SOHO) setups, and early-stage technology startups.
Airtel Office Internet will bring together secure high-speed data connectivity, conferencing and business productivity tools as a unified solution with one plan and one bill, as per a statement.
The offering includes fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband with symmetric speeds up to 1 gigabyte per second (GBPS) along with unlimited local, subscriber truck calling (STD) calling, the statement added.
The connectivity will come with built-in enterprise-grade security from Cisco and Kaspersky to block malicious and unwanted domains, viruses, crypto-lockers and attacks.
Also packaged in are complementary Google Workspace licenses that allow businesses to use Gmail for all professional email communication along with an entire range of productivity and collaboration tools from Google.
Airtel Office Internet will offer a free Airtel BlueJeans license for unlimited and secure conferencing with high-definition quality, and a digital self-serve portal for businesses to manage all these services in one place.
“The pandemic has accelerated the digital transformation journeys of businesses of all sizes. Emerging businesses are looking for trusted partners to help them in their journeys by eliminating the complexity of managing multiple relationships,” Airtel Business Director and CEO Ajay Chitkara said.
Plans, Airtel said, start at Rs 999 with a range of add-on services like Static internet protocols (IP) and parallel ringing.
The telecom major, in April, announced a reorganization of its corporate structure to sharpen focus on digital opportunities in India. In June, it entered into a partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to implement 5G networking solutions for the country.
With over 474 million customers in 18 countries across South Asia and Africa, Airtel’s retail portfolio includes high speed 4G/4.5G mobile broadband, Airtel Xstream Fiber, on-demand entertainment, streaming services spanning music and video, digital payments and financial services.
For enterprise customers, Airtel offers solutions including secure connectivity, cloud and data centre services, cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), advertising technology and cloud-based communication.
