Wipro partners with Oracle to launch cloud migration solution
Bengaluru headquartered IT (information technology) services major Wipro has entered into a collaboration with Oracle to launch Zero Cost Transformation, a new offering that helps organisations migrate to the cloud.
Wipro’s Zero Cost Transformation platform allows companies migrate their workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and offers application and infrastructure support under a managed-services framework.
Wipro, in a statement, said Zero Cost Transformation enables cloud migration at lower cost and eliminates the challenge of dealing with multiple service providers.
“As the cloud takes on strategic importance, we are committed to making the transition as easy as possible for organizations worldwide. The launch of the Zero Cost Transformation offering for OCI is a testament to Wipro’s partnership approach with customers. We look forward to developing further solutions with Oracle that empower companies to embrace the cloud quickly, effectively, and with an eye toward value,” Harish Dwarkanhalli, president, applications & data, Wipro Limited said.
Wipro is a member of Oracle Partner Network (OPN) and claims to have increased its Oracle Cloud certifications consultants by 400% in less than three years.
“Zero Cost Transformation, a unique offering from Wipro, enables organizations to leverage the power of the cloud to meet rapidly changing market and business needs. We strongly believe that organizations that are invested in the Oracle on-premise landscape and are seeking the opportunities offered by the Oracle Cloud will benefit from this initiative,” Doug Smith, senior vice president, strategic partnerships, Oracle said.
Early this month, Wipro announced that it is acquiring 20% stake in cloud-based incident management software provider Squadcast for $1.2 million. It also sold its entire stake in American application security firm, Denim Group and hybrid IT services provider Ensono Holdings.
Wipro has also separately announced at the time a partnership with London headquartered software provider to the financial service industry Finastra to offer their services for digital transformation of corporate banks across Asia Pacific.
