Vodafone Idea launches managed SIP services for enterprises

The enterprise arm of Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL), Vi Business on Tuesday announced the launch of Managed Session Initiation Protocol (MSIP) services in India to help organisations optimise voice infrastructure.  

The feature will also enable Vi Business customers get a complete view of their fixed telephony network with voice analytics, quality scores and features to improve service efficiencies.

The MSIP product targets Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) companies, companies in the BFSI and IT/ITeS sectors, telemarketers, Value-Added-Service providers, conference service providers and others.

“With the introduction of Vi Managed SIP service, Vi Business is now in a position to be a single point facilitator of comprehensive fixed telephony solutions that enable businesses to gain better control of their overall voice infrastructure and the ability to garner meaningful insights on voice performance for their clients/ internal stakeholders,” Abhijit Kishore, chief enterprise business officer at VIL said in a statement.

Vi claims to be the first telecom service provider in India to launch MSIP. The MSIP services, the company said, will help customers maintain a single connection across multiple sessions and helps them reduce operating costs on purchase of hardware.

Earlier this month, Vi Business had announced the launch of its cloud firewall to target enterprise customers in BFSI, healthcare, retail, manufacturing and education.
