Wipro, Citrix, HPE partner to offer remote working solutions

Information technology (IT) services firms Wipro, Citrix Systems and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) have collaborated to offer remote working solutions to enterprises. 

Wipro will integrate its desktop-as-a-service  (DaaS)  platform ‘virtuadesk’ and digital workspace solution with services offered by Citrix and HPE, a statement said. 

The partnership will leverage Citrix’s virtual apps and desktop services alongside purpose-built virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) from HPE to manage workloads and create virtual compute environments through HPE GreenLake cloud services. 

“The combination of advanced solutions and architecture will fully support the development of modern virtual workspaces with flexible commercial models to ensure business continuity,” the statement said. 

Wipro virtuadesk provides cloud readiness assessment, cloud migration and application life cycle management, leveraging artificial Intelligence, automation, the Internet of Things, and analytics capabilities. It enables employee engagement and collaboration, workplace efficiency and 24/7 access to apps and data, the statement added. 

“This integration strengthens our complementary capabilities in virtualization tools and platforms, desktop and application integration, as well as workplace management services. Together, we will equip enterprises to enhance employee experiences and build a collaborative, intelligent, flexible and sustainable workspace that helps them achieve transformative outcomes,” Satish Y, vice president, iCORE -- cloud and infrastructure services, Wipro, said. 

The solution offers a framework to enable a unified experience for organizations. This will be delivered through a subscription-based pay-per-use model that will offer consistent cloud experience. It will help organisations create modernised, hybrid workplaces and accelerate their digital transformation efforts.
