TechThisWeek: CoinSwitch Kuber, others raise funds; Paytm expands ESOP pool

In the latest episode of TechThisWeek, Ashish Singhal, founder and CEO of CoinSwitch Kuber talks about the latest funding round at the cryptocurrency platform, plans to deploy the fresh capital, market and strategies going ahead.  

“We believe that opportunity in India is much larger and to be honest, only 2% Indians invest beyond fixed deposits. We have seen companies like Zerodha having a cap of 35 mn users which is very less in terms of potential in India for investments. So the opportunity to create an asset class or platform for people to start investing is something we are totally focused on. Other geographies are also on our mind but not priority,” Singhal said.
