Fantasy Akhada, SuperBottoms raise fresh funds
Gurugram-based fantasy sports platform Fantasy Akhada has raised Rs 5 crore ($0.6 million as per current exchange rates) in an equity funding round through investment banking and corporate advisory services provider Prime Securities.
Its managing director N Jayakumar led the funding round, a statement said.
The firm looks to capitalise on the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL), scheduled to begin from April 9, to boost its growth. The fresh funds, the statement said, will be utilised to enhance the prize pool of in-game contests.
The platform provides fantasy cricket and fantasy football options, along with sports such as kabaddi and basketball.
SuperBottoms raises Series A capital
Reusable diapers manufacturer SuperBottoms has raised $2 million in a Series A funding round from Saama Capital and DSG Consumer Partners.
The company currently sells about 30,000 diapers a month through its website and other ecommerce platforms.
SuperBottoms raised its first external capital of Rs 1.6 crore in November 2018, in a round led by Titan Capital, investment office of Snapdeal founders, Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal with participation from Venture Catalysts.
