Former Microsoft, Cisco top exec Ashok Shenoy now country manager at Teradata India
San Diego, California based multi-cloud data warehouse platform Teradata has appointed Cisco and Microsoft veteran Ashok Shenoy as its country manager for Indian operations.
Part of the regional executive leadership team, Shenoy will report to Darryl Mckinnon, vice president, South Asia and Korea at Teradata. The company said the hire is focused on expanding Teradata’s cloud data analytics offerings in key sectors.

In his new role, Shenoy will lead Teradata’s growth in enterprise-scale, multi cloud data analytics across key verticals such as financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing, public sector and retail.
“Ashok brings with him a wealth of ecosystem know-how and high-value partner relationships that are critical for us to strengthen our foothold in a fast-evolving market,” McKinnon said in a statement.

Shenoy, who has over 25 years of IT experience, previously served as the senior director - Enterprise Sales, Manufacturing & Conglomerates vertical at Microsoft, where he was responsible for the country’s growth plans, and success of products such as the AzureSphere, and Microsoft’s modern workplace portfolio.
His other stints include being the India business head for volume systems at Sun Microsystems between 2004 and 2010. He has also worked at Cisco, where he served as the Director of for India, SAARC, and led programs, volume and portfolio for the APAC and Japan regions.
