Watch: Robert Bosch Engineering MD on AIoT, reskilling and strategy for India
Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions, the software wing of the German automotive components and industrial products manufacturer Bosch in India, recently announced that it plans to hire 2,500 employees in the country.
With 20,000 employees here, RBEI India is already Bosch’s largest development centre outside of Germany. The company plans to hire 1,000 freshers and 1,500 working professionals in India over the course of 2021. The company also conducted its DNA NXT program to mentor and partner with upcoming startups, in its latest cohort, RBEI chose 17 startups that it will work with closely.
In an interview with TechCircle, Dattatri Salagame, managing director and president of the company, said that he expects the combination of AI and IoT, commonly called AIoT, to propel the company’s growth.
RBEI provides solutions in the verticals of healthcare, automotive, agriculture, manufacturing and smart living, among others.
Salagame also spoke about RBEI operations in India, roadmap ahead and how Bosch is increasingly becoming a software-focussed company.
