Druva ropes in new sales vice president for APJ region
Sunnyvale, California-based Druva on Wednesday said it has appointed Scott Morris, an industry veteran with over two decades of experience, to lead its sales division in the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region.
As vice president of sales for APJ, Morris is expected to develop and execute strategic go-to-market plans, create revenue opportunities and deliver customer satisfaction as the cloud data protection and management solutions company accelerates growth in the region.
In September 2020, Druva reported that its APJ data centre workload revenue grew more than 100% in the 12 months. It claims to have helped over 135 enterprises -- including Adani Wilmar, NTT DATA, McConnell Dowell -- successfully navigate their digital transformation initiatives with its cloud data protection platform.
“Druva’s proven platform, extensive portfolio of 4,000 customers, and industry leadership make it an incredibly compelling solution to those currently expediting digital transformation initiatives,” Morris said.
“I look forward to working with the entire Druva team, rapidly developing our channels go-to-market and helping even more organizations realize the power of their data through data protection truly designed for the cloud era,” he said.
While Druva has just announced Morris’ announcement, his LinkedIn profile shows that he assumed the position in November 2020.

Before joining the data management company, Morris spent three years as the vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. In that role, the executive streamlined all indirect routes to market, including distribution, reseller partners, service providers, OEM partners, ISV alliance partners, global systems integrator firms and inside sales.
He also worked at NetApp for nearly a decade, handling various sales-specific roles encompassing different regions.
