Accenture, SAP collaborate to offer ERP, cloud solutions to clients

Global technology giants Accenture and SAP have collaborated to offer a new business transformation solution to clients.

The offering, dubbed RISE, will utilise public or private cloud to provide enterprise resource planning (ERP) and other solutions, a statement said. It will include the ERP capabilities of SAP and SAP S/4HANA, and will also aid with integration into the SAP business technology platform, it said.

A November 2020 study from Accenture found that while a majority of companies realise the benefit of the cloud, only 37% said they were achieving the full value on their cloud investments.   

The RISE solution, Accenture said, can help cut upfront migration costs, and thus allow more resources to be invested and foster innovation. 

“We deliver 360ᵒ value through a smart approach that uses automation, existing investments and modern implementation methods to deliver solutions with greater speed and less disruption,” Caspar Borggreve, global lead for the Accenture SAP Business Group, said.

Accenture recently launched the Accenture Cloud First, which is a multi-service level group of 70,000 cloud employees focused on helping enterprises migrate to the cloud. 

The Irish IT major also works with SAP for open industry solutions, which clients receive integrated with SAP’s intelligent suite and their business network.

“The RISE with SAP offering helps simplify and accelerate our customers’ move to the cloud and will help deliver continuous innovation throughout their journey to become an intelligent enterprise,” Uwe Grigoleit, senior vice president and general manager, SAP S/4HANA, said.  

Some of the SAP S/4HANA solutions offered by Accenture include the Accenture myConcerto, which is an insight driven platform with pre-configured solutions aimed at industry functions, and Accenture myWizard, which can be used to automate the end-to-end software engineering lifecycle and help with seamless system transformation programs.
