SurePayroll, Zoho Books to simplify back-office operations for small businesses

Glenview, Illinois-based payroll and HR solutions provider SurePayroll has announced a partnership with Zoho Books, a unit of the Austin, Texas headquartered HR software giant.

Zoho Books is an online accounting software that helps businesses manage financials and tax compliance. With international headquarters in Chennai, Zoho has nearly 60 million users on its platform.

Paychex-owned SurePayroll will utilise Zoho Books to simplify small business back-office operations, a statement said. Along with accessing and downloading reports, SurePayroll customers will also have the option to directly integrate with the Zoho Books account.

“There's a fast-growing demand for an integrated accounting software solution, and we've been impressed by the unique affinity small businesses have for Zoho Books,” Jamal Ayyad, head of product at SurePayroll, said.

SurePayroll said that customers who subscribe for the Zoho integration would automatically transfer payroll data into their Zoho Books account.

“Even a small mistake in the records can end up becoming an expensive nightmare. Through SurePayroll's integration with Zoho Books, businesses can automate tax compliance and payroll accounting,” Prashant Ganti, head of product, Finance Suite, Zoho Corp, said. 

“This will eliminate the need for manual intervention, thereby minimizing errors and increasing accuracy," Ganti added.

John Cumbee, general manager at SurePayroll, said that the partnership would help resolve small business pain points by reducing complexity and manual effort. “It will help them increase the accuracy of data transfers between their back-office systems," Cumbee added.

SurePayroll has been providing payroll services in the USA for more than 20 years and recently added HR services to its portfolio. It provides private labelling and co-branded solutions for its clients.
