Accenture upgrades automation platform myWizard for better efficiency
Irish information technology (IT) major Accenture has announced a new generation of its intelligent automation platform Accenture myWizard, which helps enterprises create, implement and measure enterprise-wide automation strategies and IT systems for better efficiency.
The platform will now offer modern software quality engineering, technology operations and enterprise automation journey management services, which are all backed by artificial intelligence. It works by enabling distributed agile practices that are scalable, including the automation of DevOps in the cloud.
The new features include an automation roadmap, along with benchmarks to identify automation opportunities and provide data insights. The platform holds more than 150 patents and patent applications, the company said.

Accenture launched MyWizard back in April 2016 and has since, according to its website, helped 1,500 companies improve user experiences by more than 50%, reduce IT operational costs by up to 60% and have 5-8 times faster time to market of new products.
“Companies are having to compress years of digital and cultural transformation into months, and automation, like cloud, is an absolutely essential tool for rapid change,” Paul Daugherty, group CEO of technology and CTO at Accenture, said.
Over 1,00,000 professionals currently use myWizard, he said.

A recent report released by the Dublin-based company said that companies need to move away from defensive technology investments as that would lead to disruption, growth stagnation and financial constraints. In fact, 98% of companies that invested in new technologies, such as automation and DevOps, are outperforming their peers in revenue growth and operating margin, the report said.
