Wipro signs multi-year digital transformation deal with London based Metro Bank
Information technology (IT) services major Wipro said it has signed a multi-year contract with London based Metro Bank to aid the latter with testing and environment management services.
The partnership will leverage the Bengaluru based company’s digital and quality engineering capabilities to drive transformation through automation, service virtualisation and DevSecOps enablement, according to a statement.

“This will help Metro Bank achieve its objectives around cost, pace and quality of operations, which will place it above other high street banks,” the statement said.
Wipro will boost the bank’s digital transformation journey with its marquee offerings, such as IT wellness platform IntelliAssure, intelligent test automation solution Virtual Automation Engineer and enterprise DevSecOps provider Digital Rig, it added.

This directly supports Metro Bank’s strategy to become the UK’s best community bank,” Cheryl McCuaig, chief information officer at Metro Bank, said.
Last week, Ahmedabad based consumer goods firm Zydus Wellness signed on information technology services and consultancy firm Accenture to help with its digital transformation journey, while German chemical manufacturing firm Lanxess entered into a long term partnership with IT services firm Infosys to transform its IT infrastructure as well as to build a digital workplace in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
Earlier this month, Stockholm based outdoor power products maker Husqvarna Group inked a deal with mid-tier IT services firm Mindtree to accelerate its digital transformation initiatives.
