Online travel agency Goibibo co-founder Vikalp Sahni has stepped down from his role after nearly 13 years at the company, according to an announcement on Twitter. The National Institute of Technology, Silchar alumnus, who joined the company as a software engineer, did not mention the reason for his departure.
Govt asks 59 banned Chinese apps to comply with order
The government has asked the Chinese companies, whose apps were banned in India last month, to comply with the order and ensure that the apps are not available for download on Play Store or Apple Store, The Economic Times reported. Non-compliance with the rules will result in strict action, the report said, citing a government statement.
Netflix tests entry-level plan in India
Los Gatos, California headquartered Netflix, which owns and operates an eponymous on-demand video streaming platform, is testing a new entry-level plan for Indian users, as per a news report. Called Mobile+, the plan allows subscribers to watch high definition content on a single mobile, tablet or computer screen at a time for Rs 349 per month, The Economic Times reported, citing a blogpost on AndroidPure.
Trell looks to raise $10 mn in Series A funding round
Short video app Trell is conducting advanced stage talks to secure $10 million in Series A funding round from Samsung Ventures and KTBN, an Entrackr report said. Additionally, Sequoia and Fosun are expected to participate in the round as well, the report said.

Amazon India to hold Prime Day sale next month
Retail behemoth Amazon India said that it will hold its two-day Prime Day sale from August 6, The Economic Times reported. Prime users will have access to services such as free 48-hour delivery, exclusive discounts and early deals, along with access to over 300 new product launches, it said.
IDSign rolls out mobile app for ID verification
Verifiable digital ID and signing platform IDSign said it has launched a mobile-based application to provide identity management, digital verification and digital signing services. The serial entrepreneur Naveen Chava-led platform adheres to global public key infrastructure and is currently available for Windows and Android beta users, it said in a statement.
LetsTransport signs over 20 clients in March, April
Logistics marketplace LetsTransport said it has signed over 20 new clients during March and April, most of whom deal with essential products. The Bengaluru headquartered company, which has a presence in 15 cities, claims to have witnessed a 50% growth in demand from its clients, which includes companies such as Amazon, Flipkart and Coca-Cola, a statement said.
