Wipro partners with Citrix and Microsoft to help enterprises reboot post-Covid-19
Bengaluru based information technology (IT) services giant Wipro has joined forces with networking and desktop virtualisation provider Citrix Systems and technology giant Microsoft to help customers maintain business continuity in a post-Covid-19 world.
Wipro said that it will integrate a host of services from Citrix and Microsoft to create cloud-based virtual compute environments. The combined solution will allow for efficient deployment of secure and reliable digital workspaces, according to a statement.

The solution aims at accommodating remote working, while still adhering to cost, resilience, performance objectives and compatibility.
Wipro is bringing its desktop as a Service (DaaS) solution VirtuaDesk to the partnership while Citrix has a host of digital workplace solutions such as workspaces, virtual apps and desktops, gateway and analytics. The integrated solutions are expected to help customers enable productive work from home atmospheres.
“We intend to bring together our strong complementary capabilities on virtualisation tools & platforms, desktop and application integration and managed services, to help mitigate the impact of the pandemic,” Satish Y, Vice President, Cloud & Infrastructure services, Wipro, said.
Satish added that the combination of Wipro’s workplace management services, Citrix’s digital workspace solutions and Microsoft’s cloud development will help its customers achieve strategic business outcomes.

Microsoft is bringing its Azure active directory and multi-factor authentication. Windows Defender advanced threat protection will also be integrated into the business continuity solution. Windows 10 multi-session desktop delivery model will handle certification of applications while Azure Analytics will provide real-time performance analytics for better user interface.
“Integration of Microsoft Azure Active Directory allows employees to work in a secure manner wherever they are. Wipro’s integration of these services along with Citrix will provide a secure and managed solution to enable remote workers.” Giovanni Mezgec, General Manager at Microsoft said.
As per the assessment of the enterprise readiness, Wipro’s IP based solution accelerators, cloud migration assessment tools, and application life cycle management tools will help organisations identify the right set of applications for their business continuity needs.
