From roughly 10 million daily meeting participants in December 2019 to 300 million daily users in April 2020, video communications platform Zoom has seen its popularity, as well as challenges, increase over a three-month period.
Rival Google Meet, with 100 million daily active users, is gaining traction and so is another popular video conferencing platform, Microsoft Teams. It has also had to deal with security concerns.

In an interview with TechCircle, Sameer Raje, general manager and head of India, Zoom Communications, talks about the company’s security concerns, its 90-day growth plan, Zoom 5.0 update, the government’s views on the application, its competitors and strategies.
India is a major market for Zoom Communications, accounting for 18.2 % of the 131 million downloads that the platform witnessed in April, according to a report by Mobile marketing analytics firm Sensor Tower.
