Jarrett Appleby joins Yotta Infrastructure as strategic advisor to CEO

Mumbai headquartered web hosting company Yotta Infrastructure, a subsidiary of the real-estate giant Hiranandani Group, has appointed Jarrett Appleby as its strategic advisor to the CEO.

Appleby is currently the CEO of Appleby Strategy Group.

In his new role, Appleby will look over the company’s international business initiatives for cloud and content operators, according to a statement. Additionally, he will strengthen the company’s efforts to deliver a comprehensive suite of hyper-scale data centre service and drive Yotta's growth strategies and partnerships at a global level, it added.

“The Yotta team has organically built a next-generation data centre and operating platform in the Indian market to support enterprise solutions and the Hyperscale community, and I am looking forward to supporting the team," Appleby said.

With over three decades of experience in the internet and data centre industry, Appleby has led go-to-market strategies for mid-sized and multi-billion dollar global companies across technology, telecom, real estate, information technology (IT) platform services and communications industries.

Apart from being the CEO and independent board director to Appleby Strategy Group and Sungard Availability Services respectively, he is also working as the senior advisor for investment firm The Blackstone Group, advisor to the CEO at micro data centres company EdgeMicro, and software-as-a-service (SaaS) go-to-market platform Connected2Fiber.

Founded last year by Niranjan Hiranandani, Yotta Infrastructure is a managed data centre service provider that designs, builds and operates large-scale hyperdensity data centre parks in India.

"Jarrett Appleby, with his vast experience of working with well-known telecom and data centre providers across the world will lead our business development efforts in the US and other global markets," Sunil Gupta, managing partner and CEO at Yotta Infrastructure, said.

Prior to the advisory roles, Appleby held multiple C-suite roles such as the chief operating officer of Digital Realty, chief marketing officer of Equinix, chief strategy and marketing officer at Reliance Globalcom, among others.

Last year in November, Yotta Infrastructure Solutions appointed former Reliance Jio Infocomm official Manish Israni as chief information officer (CIO) and head of information technology (IT) operations and engineering.
