Former online real estate listing portal Housing.com chief executive officer and board director at Emaar, Jason Kothari may lead SoftBank-backed American office-sharing company WeWork, the Economic Times reports.

This comes weeks after the departure of the company’s co-founder Adam Neumann, the report said. 

Kothari had successfully led the turnaround of Softbank-backed Housing.com over one and a half years, as its founder and CEO Rahul Singh had stepped down due to a spat with the investors, the report added.

CERT-In warns WhatsApp users about a new vulnerability

Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), the national nodal agency for responding to computer security incidents, has warned Facebook-owned messaging platform Whatsapp users’ about a new vulnerability.

Hackers could exploit the vulnerability through an MP4 file, according to a report by the Economic Times.

The MP4 file extension comes in a compressed file format that can carry video, audio and subtitles, the report said. If downloaded by the users, the attacker will be enabled to cause remote code execution (RCE) or denial of service condition (DoS), which could further compromise the system, it added.

Remote code execution enables an attacker to access someone else's computing device and make changes, no matter where the device is geographically located.

CERT-In has rated the severity high and advised users to upgrade Whatsapp to the latest version. The advisory was also mentioned by Facebook on its website, last week, the report added.
