Tech Mahindra partner with CET Bhubaneswar for AI education center

Pune-based information technology firm Tech Mahindra has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with College of Engineering and Technology (CET), Bhubaneswar, to set up a Center of Excellence (CoE) based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). 

The new partnership will give access to new-age technologies like AI, which could be applied in daily life. The platform will help local students grow and understand the needs and the problems faced by local industries and organisations and create prototype solutions which will help in solving issues faced by local industries and government organisations. 

“We aim to co-create smart solutions for the future by leveraging next generation technologies like AI. The state-of-the-art CoE will help tap the immense potential of the students to address the evolving technology needs of local industries, besides significantly improving their skills and future employability. It will also help in fostering a culture of innovation to deliver a superior experience to our customers globally,” said Sujit Baksi, President, corporate affairs and business head, APAC, Tech Mahindra.

“This unique collaboration between Tech Mahindra and CET will be a big step forward in building  joint capabilities for the local industries and the state of Odisha, in the area of AI. The CoE will be a catalyst in implementing new age technologies in various sectors and will help us design cutting-edge solutions for the future,” said Sanjay Kumar Singh, commissioner and secretary, Skill Development and Technical Education Department, Government of Odisha.

Tech Mahindra is currently focused on leveraging next generation technologies like AI, blockchain, 5G, internet of things, and cybersecurity to disrupt and enable digital transformation, as part of the TechMNxt charter.
