OYO launches booking portal for travel agents
Hospitality chain OYO Hotels and Homes has launched a hotel booking portal, SuperAgent, for offline travel agents.
The Gurugram-based company claims to have partnered with almost 12,000 travel agents. OYO’s new website helps travel agents find recommended hotels, deals, prices and a sales summary, according to a company statement.
“SuperAgent aims to provide customised service to each and every guest based on their requirements. We will continue to create offerings that add value and enrich experiences for our end consumers,” said Gaurav Ajmera, chief operating officer, India and South Asia, OYO.
The new portal is in addition to OYO’s existing booking channels, which include a website, app, online travel agencies and walk-ins.
Oravel Stays, which runs OYO, operates more than 35,000 hotels and 125,000 vacation homes totalling to 1.2 million rooms. OYO also has operations in more than 800 cities in 80 countries, including the US, Europe, UK, India, Malaysia, Middle East, Indonesia, Philippines, and Japan. The company was founded in 2013 by Ritesh Agarwal.
Last month, Softbank-backed OYO had entered student housing space by partnering with Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and Plaksha University in Gurugram. In addition, the company had launched a home rental platform for working professionals in 2018.
