HCL Tech to be main supplier for Volvo’s digital transformation and IT services

Indian information technology (IT) services firm HCL Technologies has been selected as the main supplier for digital transformation and IT services for Volvo Cars.

HCL will help Volvo Cars in its large-scale transformation programme, which includes organisation-wide technology shifts to help Volvo Cars capitalise on new opportunities and improve internal business processes and customer experiences, the companies said in a joint statement.

The collaboration includes several aspects of digital transformation including product orientation, DevOps and application integration.

Volvo will be enabled to solve business complexity efficiently and achieve faster time-to-market as well as leverage the strength of mobility, subscription-based services, electrification and autonomous driving, the joint statement added.

Earlier this month, Infosys had been selected as one of the providers of digital transformation services for Volvo Cars.
