Haircare startup Onesto Labs raises $500,000 in seed funding

Onesto Labs, which runs the data-driven haircare startup Bare Anatomy, has raised $500,000 in a seed funding round led by consumer-focused private investment firm Sauce Venture Capital.

The  Gurugram-based company will use the funds to augment its research and development infrastructure and strengthen its marketing operations, an official statement said.

“We plan to grow the R&D activities to drive innovations in the customised beauty segment. We will invest in the modernisation of our R&D lab to deliver safe and effective products to our customers which are at par with the European safety standards,” said Vimal Bhola, co-founder, Onesto Labs.

Founded in 2019 by Bhola, Rohit Chawla and Sifat Khurana, Bare Anatomy offers haircare products such as shampoo, conditioner, hair oil, hair serum, through personalised suggestions using data, meeting customers’ unique needs. 

Sauce Venture Capital’s portfolio includes Bengaluru-based nutritional product maker Merhaki Foods and Nutrition, operating through &Me and online apparels startup XYXX Apparels, as per VCCEdge database.
