OYO now present in 60 US cities, has over 100+ hotels

Gurugram-based OYO Hotels & Homes has crossed the milestone of 100 plus hotels in the United States.

The company had formally announced its presence in the US market in June and has now established itself in more than 60 cities, an official statement said.

Last month, the company forayed into Las Vegas through a partnership with Highgate for its 657 rooms flagship - OYO Hotel & Casino.

OYO committed $300 million as an initial investment in the US.. Currently, it is opening one or more buildings per day, creating more than 4,000 jobs, the statement said.

OYO now has 112 hotels in more than 21 states and 60 cities including Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Seattle, Atlanta and Miami. 

“OYO will continue to drive growth across the US while delivering quality customer service,” said Ritesh Agarwal, OYO founder & CEO.

 “The US is a key home-market of us given the huge potential. While we continue to transform buildings across the country, we want to stay true to our philosophy that everyone, every day should be #LivingTheGoodLife,” said Agarwal.

OYO is also in talks with financial institutions to borrow $200 million to buy premium hotels in the United States. 

The company, which is reportedly in the midst of restructuring its businesses into India and international business operations, has said it was the world’s third-largest hotel chain as per room count at the end of June 2019.
