CEAT launches Excellerator for mobility startups
Tyre manufacturing company CEAT Tyres has launched a competition Excellerator for startups offering solutions for new-age mobility businesses including connected vehicles, shared mobility services and logistics services.
The Mumbai-based company hopes to identify and partner with the winners to strengthen its positioning in connected, shared and tech-enabled fleet management areas, an official statement said.
The shortlisted startups will present their ideas before a jury of CEAT’s senior management in November at RPG House in Mumbai. The winner will get a chance to raise funds from the company and gain access to its business network across India, the statement said.
“We are looking forward to bringing on board entrepreneurs who can provide viable solutions for our business needs. Along with the winners, we will work together towards achieving our common goals for the future of the automobile industry," said Anant Goenka, managing director, CEAT.
CEAT had earlier invested in Tyresnmore, an online tyre retailer and doorstep fitment provider, and recently invested in eFleet Systems, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform for fleet operators, the statement said.
