Dell, Niti Aayog launch student internship programme
US-based technology giant Dell Technologies has started a student internship programme in partnership with NITI Aayog’ s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), the company said in a statement.
Dell provided internships to top six teams of Atal Tinkering Labs at its R&D facility in Bengaluru. It was a two-week programme to mentor students in areas like technical support, product marketability, funding and incubation and patenting, the statement added.
“The internship programme by Dell Technologies will mould these innovators to become successful future entrepreneurs, and we are proud that Dell has been associated with AIM in the above initiatives,” said Ramanathan Ramanan, mission director, AIM.
Dell volunteers will be working closely with the student innovators to offer mentoring support, create a testbed and collect customer feedback, provide support to manufacture a fully functional market-ready product, patent their ideas/processes and help them launch their product in the market, the statement said.
“Dell strives to drive change by harnessing the power of technology to create and inspire. Through this internship program, we envision to empower youth and continue to transform young innovators into entrepreneurs. We value our partnership with NITI Aayog and look forward to expanding our collaboration to drive innovation and learning among budding entrepreneurs,” said Alok Ohrie, president and managing director, Dell Technologies India.
