Former Cisco executive to lead India ops of data analytics platform Qlik
Ankur Goel has been appointed as the managing director for India by the data analytics platform Qlik Technologies, the company announced today.
Goel, who will report to Geoff Thomas, Qlik’s regional senior vice president for the Asia Pacific region, will be responsible for boosting Qlik’s local operations, which includes deriving actionable insights through data from its clients like Bajaj Auto, BookMyShow, Cognizant, HCL Technologies, Mahindra and Mahindra, Cisco and Samsung.
Goel was the managing director at Poly where he was in charge of the India and SAARC business of the telecommunications company. Goel has also worked as the regional manager and business development manager at Cisco Systems and manager - channel sales at Ericsson. He has also held leadership positions at Tata and Siemens. Goel is an alumnus of Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
