Dutch firm NXP partners TCS to automate supply chain ops, bolster AI capabilities
Netherlands-based connectivity solutions provider NXP Semiconductors has signed a deal with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to improve enterprise supply chain operations by harnessing TCS’ cognitive automation product ignio and its private cloud.
NXP provides connectivity and technology infrastructure solutions for embedded applications, smart vehicles and data privacy, according to a statement issued by TCS today.
ignio automates and optimises IT operations with its cognitive capability that combines artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and other advanced resources borne of software engineering, the statement added. The platform of ignio uses its reasoning capability booted with context-awareness for problem-solving and anticipate incidents.
The Dutch technology solutions provider will also use the TCS private cloud on alpha architecture to automate NXP’s supply chain operations.

Recent tech deployments and collaborations undertaken by TCS:
- TCS’ Digital CASA Account Opening and KYC Services Platform were rolled out for Kochi-based Federal Bank.
- Collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to improve the employability and broadening the skill-set of engineers.
- Deployment of TCS’ BaNCS insurance platform and hybrid cloud for insurance platform Scottish Widows.
