Infogain to provide RPA solutions to Japanese consumer products firm
US-headquartered IT services firm Infogain Corporation, which also has operations in India, said on Wednesday that it has secured a deal to provide robotic process automation (RPA) solutions to a Japanese consumer products company.
Infogain did not name the client but said that it was an established brewing, distilling and retailing company in Japan, with annual revenues exceeding $19.2 billion and more than 37,000 employees worldwide.
As part of the deal, Infogain will set up a robotic process automation Center of Excellence and automate certain business processes, the company said in a statement.
The solutions developed will also help in implementing automation processes in subsidiaries across countries such as Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam among others, it added.
Infogain also said that the RPA solutions will help reduce errors and delays in processing, and these in turn will allow its employees to take on more value-added tasks leading to higher productivity in the long run.
“With our strong Automation Anywhere partnership and recent RPA implementations, our automation team will provide a comprehensive automation platform that drives business value in this cognitive era,” said Sachin Nagarajappa, AVP and head of South East Asia of Infogain.
The company, which is backed by Indian private equity firm ChrysCapital, also claimed that it has deployed more than 350 bots in the technology, retail, travel and insurance industries.
According to Grand View Research, the global RPA market size is expected to reach $3.97 billion by 2025.
