E-learning firm TalentSprint partners with IIIT-H for AI, blockchain programmes

Skill development and training firm TalentSprint Educational Services Pvt. Ltd and the International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT-H) on Thursday announced the countrywide rollout of programmes related to artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and blockchain.

The courses, which will be delivered over 18 weeks in a hybrid format, are in response to the rampant demand for deep-tech expertise among knowledge professionals in technology hubs of the country, a joint statement said.

The hybrid executive programmes were launched last year in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Eleven cohorts comprising 1,569 students are already underway.

There will be three campus visits of as many days at IIIT-H, coupled with live classes taken online for the rest of the duration.

The statement said that a collaborative faculty model is envisioned wherein professors will work in tandem with industry practitioners, with a five-step method consisting of lectures, hands-on labs, hackathons, mentorships and workshops.

The programme has a ‘pracademic’ design -- a mix of industry-tested practices and academic knowledge.

Founded in 1998, IIIT-Hyderabad is an autonomous research university that focuses on IT, computer science, electronics and communications and their applications in other domains.

TalentSprint is an online education platform based in Hyderabad which provides professional education development programmes, particularly for those engaged in the IT and banking, financial services & insurance (BFSI) sectors. 

In its Series A round of funding which took place in 2012, the startup founded by Santanu Paul raised $4 million from Nexus Venture Partners. 

That same year, it acquired Axiom Academy, an institute specialising in placement training and engineering coaching.
