French firm Atos rolls out identity and management solution for cloud and local servers
French software services firm Atos SE has launched an identity provider and management system for clouds and on premises environments both.
With the solution, based on Atos' cybersecurity platform Evidian, enterprises can access all their data accounts with one single sign-in.
The announcement gains significance as most large enterprises are increasingly following a multi-cloud and hybrid cloud approach demanding seamless inter-operability.
With the data security solution, businesses can protect their users’ accesses and keep control of their identities. The platform also provides a single console for governance and administration of identities and access rights, facilitating the enforcement of policies, compliance reporting and security incident response, Atos said.
Atos said that the platform will also facilitate seamless cloud migration while avoiding the complexity of adopting access management policies when moving from one cloud provider to another.
The company has also automated the platform providing for cost-efficient provisioning and de-provisioning of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications when needed by clients, thereby eliminating the risk of dormant accounts.
Late last month, Atos had opened a new global delivery centre in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, that will employ more than 2,300 software engineers. Atos currently has 32,500 employees in India and its global headcount is more than 120,000.
The $12-billion Atos group, which has had a presence in India since 1991, already has delivery centres in Pune, Chennai, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Atos had last year acquired US-based infotech firm Syntel.
In February this year, Atos launch the first supercomputer under the government’s National Supercomputing Mission.
