TCS facilitates omnichannel shift at Israeli financial institution Bank Yahav
Software services major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said it has enabled omnichannel customer experience for Israeli financial institution Bank Yahav. This has been enabled using TCS' BaNCS Digital Platform for Banking and Trading, leading to higher customer adoption of the bank's apps, it added.
The Mumbai-based software giant said that the platform has enabled intuitive and self-service features on the bank's apps. TCS' BaNCS is a digital and cloud software platform for financial services firms.
TCS said that the rollout of this digital experience layer followed the earlier end-to-end core system transformation that the bank undertook with BaNCS platform.
BaNCS, built on a hybrid platform, allows the end-customer to switch between banking and trading apps seamlessly without the need for additional authentication. Its remote cheque deposit facility lets customers digitally deposit and process up to 20 cheques at a time.
“We have had a long and successful partnership with TCS. We were among the first banks in Israel to successfully deploy a core banking solution from an international vendor. With the adoption of TCS BaNCS Digital for Banking and Trading, we have enhanced the customer experience,” said Gadi Davidiyan, chief information officer at Bank Yahav.
Yahav said that the bank has witnessed more than three million logins in the first quarter since going live with TCS. It added that the branch staff was now focusing on value-added services and sales, while the number of queries to its call centre has reduced substantially.
“Customer experience is at the heart of the business transformation and BaNCS is empowering financial institutions to get closer to their customers and build resilient relationships. With the successful deployment of BaNCS, the bank can now deliver a seamless experience across all customer touchpoints,” said Venkateshwaran Srinivasan, head of TCS financial solutions.
Earlier last month, TCS had signed up US bank Zions Bancorporation to simplify the lender’s overall information technology landscape using BaNCS.
